    A little about Camden Webworks

    Thumbtack Best Pro of 2015

A couple of geeky guys, doing geeky things.

Camden Webworks was founded in 2013 and focused on creating websites for local small business throughout the Minneapolis community.  It was a part-time gig, and freelancing was enjoyable.  In 2014, we shifted focus a bit and opened a storefront.  While the existing web services business was running, we refocused on computer, tablet, and phone repair.  It was a blast, and a hell of a learning experience.  That said, we closed our retail shop after a year to focus back on what the company was originally founded for - web programming and design and small business services.

While our focus continues on programming and making your business grow through a successful web presence, we want to make sure that we recognize that part of our history.  If you have a computer that is running slow or a broken tablet or phone, please let us know.  We'd be happy to arrange a pick-up/drop-off or work on it on-site.

On a fun and happy note, our work in 2015 allowed Thumbtack to view us as one of the best providers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We're proud of it!
  • Our services // what we do

    Web Services

We get small business. We are small business.

Can your customers find you on the web? What about the potential ones? Each potential visitor you're missing out on because you don't have a website, or a poor one, is a missed lead or sale. It's money your business is missing out on.

From revamping an existing website to building a new one from scratch - we're here, and we're willing to work within your budget to get you that website that will help drive business.

Please drop as an email for a quote. We are aggressively pursuing websites at the moment in an effort to build out our portfolio. Basic business websites start at only $400.

    Process

    How it all works.

    1. You get in touch with us, we talk about what your business needs, and develop a plan. An estimate is given.

    2. You accept the estimate. Work begins according to what we've agreed upon. We ask for feedback throughout the process to ensure that we're all on the same page.

    3. Your website's complete, you give it your final approval, and it goes live.

    Overview

I developed a PHP application to track work within a retail repair shop.  The data is structured in such a way that the shop can keep track of existing inventory, receive new work, allocate inventory to work orders, and complete the work orders.  Automated emailing/forms management is built in to streamline sales/service workflows.

    Overview

My client had an outdated website that was relatively static and performing very poorly in search rankings. They wanted to refresh the site and bring a modern look to it while increasing it’s web presence and allowing for online advertising options.

I analyzed the customer’s requirements and developed an implementation plan with them. Utilizing WordPress, I built a front-end page that refreshed their web presence, allowed for online advertising, and allowed for an archive of previous articles that was searchable.

    Overview

My client came to me looking for help updating their existing website. It was an off the shelf solution that didn’t represent the image they wanted their organization to put forward, didn’t allow for much modification, and wasn’t optimized for much of anything. Working with the client I developed timelines and milestones and began production of a WordPress site for their organization. It’s allowed their organization to have a web presence, to functionally engage their congregation on the web, and to effectively communicate the current happenings of the church.

After a substantial server issue, the client came to us looking for a simple method to push data to people living within the neighborhood.  The current staff at their organization were not extremely computer savvy, but would need to maintain the content.  A WordPress site was developed that brought the important pieces of their old website and added in a simple content management system that is used daily.
